Lifting operations

Lifting equipment means any equipment used at work for lifting or lowering loads. It includes attachments used for anchoring, fixing or supporting the equipment. It also includes a range of equipment from an eyebolt to a crane. This equipment can cause injury through poor maintenance or incorrect use. Lifting operations should be appropriately planned and equipment must be suitable maintained, including a formal examination. Information on these requirements is provided, including:
