Health Surveillance requirements

Medical surveillance by an HSE Appointed Doctor is required when employees undertake licensable work or notifiable non-licensable work (NNLW) with asbestos.

There should be no University employees undertaking licensable work or notifiable non-licensable work (NNLW) with asbestos. Any such potential work involving exposure to asbestos should be done by licensed contractors, who will have their own arrangements.

If there is the possibility anyone may work with asbestos please contact your the Estates Compliance Team at estates.compliance@admin.ox.ac.uk before any work is undertaken.
