    • definition of roles
    • action to be taken in case of fire
  • Full evacuation drill:
    • raising the alarm
    • investigation
    • sweep and assist
    • information-gathering
  • Practical session:
    • safe use of:
      • water extinguishers
      • CO2 extinguishers
      • fire blankets

Upon being the first department to undertake this training, Fatai Lawal, Head of Facilities Management at Pitt Rivers Museum, commented:

‘We found the session valuable in strengthening our emergency preparedness. It was a success!’

Departments can book online up to three years in advance, and a pre-course on-site meeting will explain the course format and agree specific areas to be covered. The presentation below provides further details of the course, including a comprehensive set of FAQs.
