The Fire Scenario Training, delivered by the Safety Office and First for Safety Oxfordshire, provides a tailored, in-situ learning experience to departments in all applicable buildings. The course format is split into three sections:
- Technical session:
- basic fire awareness
- basic fire science
- definition of roles
- action to be taken in case of fire
- Full evacuation drill:
- raising the alarm
- investigation
- sweep and assist
- information-gathering
- Practical session:
- safe use of:
- water extinguishers
- CO2 extinguishers
- fire blankets
