Information on how construction projects should be planned and implemented
This University policy statement aims to describe the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015, (also known as CDM Regulations or CDM 2015) and how they should be implemented within the context of University of Oxford operations.
These regulations govern the way construction projects at the University (of all sizes and types) should be planned to help improve the overall health, safety and welfare of those working on these projects, as well as others who may be affected by these construction projects.
These regulations offer a very broad definition of what construction works are and identifies key specific H&S roles whilst making it clear that everyone involved in a construction project has responsibilities for health and safety.
